Put your event out front
In the Tri is a free events calendar for Johnson City, Kingsport, and Bristol. A featured event goes in the labeled Featured row at the top of the calendar for 7 days, so people browsing the calendar see it first.
- Your event in the Featured row at the top of the calendar for 7 days, or until it happens if that is sooner
- A line about it in the next Thursday email, "This Weekend in the Tri"
- The row holds up to 3 featured events. When more are running, they take turns, including in the homepage spotlight
- Clearly labeled "Featured," because we don't fake it
Community listings are always free. Paying never changes the order of the free calendar. Paid placement terms. Free listing instead? Submit your event. Want to see how full the Featured row is? See the ad calendar.
Tell us what to feature
Two minutes. You'll get a reference code on the next screen, then pay. Nothing runs until the payment lands, and we confirm by email first.
Almost there. Two steps left.

ITT-XXXXX
- Pay the $15 with the button below. Card, Venmo, or PayPal.
- Checkout asks for a reference code. Paste the code above into that box so we can match the money to your event.

We confirm by email within one business day and tell you the exact dates your event runs out front.
Questions first?
Local business, straight answers. Call or email and you'll get a person, not a form.
No event, just a business to get in front of people? Sponsor the Thursday email for $15.
